Coastal Health Medical Centre has prided itself on providing affordable care to patients in our community and we strive to provide high quality care and sustainable practices well into the future.
Due to escalating costs and stagnant Medicare rebates the practice has decided to update the billing policy for weekends only from Saturday 13th November 2021.
We will continue to bulk bill all patients with a valid Medicare Card on Monday to Friday at both practices.
Our Saturday clinics will be all privately billed from Saturday 13th November 2021 as follows:
All consultation fees attract a Medicare rebate.
We understand that unplanned issues can come up and you may need to cancel an appointment, however when a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen.
From Monday 8th November we will be implementing a new Cancellation Policy and fees for non-attendance or failure to give us adequate notice.
You can cancel or change your Coastal Health Medical appointment without incurring any fees, as long as you give us at least two hours notice.

From Monday 8th November, missed or cancelled appointments with less than two hours notice will incur a fee of $20. No part of this fee can be claimed back from Medicare and must be paid prior to booking the next appointment.
